Not getting any younger…
I kind of rebel against making New Year Resolutions and the like. I’m not sure where it comes from; somewhere unhealthy and vain I’m sure. But new years bring reflection, and reflection -for most of us- pulls up a big score card. My score card says it’s time to start taking better care of myself. I turn 37 in a couple of months. I’m not hung up on that. Getting older doesn’t really bother me. The more time marches across my face, though, the more I start to feel it physically. I don’t rebound as fast as I used to, I don’t always have as much energy as I’d like, and some foods just flat out disagree with me in a way most young people don’t have to worry about. So 2010 is the year I start paying a little more attention to my body. This year is the year I eat better, exercise smarter, continue to get plenty of rest, and get regular check-ups. Sara’s helping me. If you read this regularly, it’ll be a source of accountability and you’ll be helping me too. Seriously, who couldn’t get healthier with you and Sara on my back all the time?
